Handball Australia is governed by a Board of Directors consisting of seven (7) State Delegates and three (3) Orindary Directors.

Sub Committees

 

The HA Subcommittees are the operation arms of HA. Subcommittees work independently on specific projects and they report back progress regularly and make proposals to the Board for decisions.

 

Each SC has a charter, which is reviewed annually to evaluate performance against objectives stated in charter.  Chairs of each Subcommittee are current board members of the HA.  Non board members can be invited to be part of a Subcommittee, and are in fact encouraged to do so. For example, Nationals coach would be integrated in the HP SC).

 

Membership of Subcommittees are agreed annually post AGM. Board Members can be involved in areas of their choice but each Subcommittee is to have at least one Board Member member (usually though not always as Chair). The President and Secretary-General are ex-officio members of all subcommittees but not required for attendance at all meetings, unless requested for special business or advice. The HA President is in changer of international /stakeholder relations.

 

The SC nominates 12 month goals annually and report against these regularly. Additional Subcommittees can be formed temporally to deal with specific issues (disciplinary etc)
