Handball Australia is responsible for the administration of Handball Events and Competitions on a State, National and International Levels. 

 

The highest level of competition in Australia is the annual 'Handball National Championships' (state based) and the 'Beach Handball National Championships' (club based). Additionally, Handball Australia also runs annual Junior & Youth level competitions.  

 

High Performance

 

Australia's national teams regularly and consistently qualify to perform on the world stage, from regional qualifiers to World Championships and other international events. 

 

Handball Australia's High Performance Unit, manages Australia's Junior, Youth, and Senior men's and women's teams for Handball and Beach Handball.   

Development

 

Handball Australia is currently transforming it's Development approach and priorities to significantly improve the aweness and participitation levels of this Olympic sport. 

 

The Development sub committee is opperating in every state (execpt TAS) and working closely with representative development bodies.

The Australian Handball Federation (Handball Australia) is Australia's governing body for the sport of Handball. There are presently seven regional federations/associations: New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria, ACT, South Australia, Western Australia and NT.
